Women and Adolescent Uplifting (WADU) was founded in 2021 as a community-based organization committed to empowering women, adolescents, children and young adults by addressing the critical challenges that hinder their growth, dignity and opportunities
To promote the health, rights, and well-being of adolescents and young people through community-based education, advocacy, and access to youth-friendly services that prevent HIV, sexual violence, and teenage pregnancy.
We are committed to empowering young mothers, adolescents, and young adults through targeted livelihood programs that foster self-reliance, financial independence, and long-term resilience.
At WADU Kenya, our approach is rooted in empowerment, and evidence-based solutions. We work hand-in-hand with local communities to understand their needs, co-create programs, and build long-term capacity.
Inclusivity
We actively involve people from all backgrounds of the community. Regardless of ability, ethnicity, age, or socioeconomic status in identifying problems and coming up with solutions.
Community Driven
We listen first. Every project begins with conversations—with families, local leaders, and stakeholders—to ensure our solutions are grounded in the reality of those we serve.
Collaboration
We partner with women, adolescent, grassroots organizations, governments, and donors to amplify impact. We don’t deliver promises—we co-create change.
Sustainability
Our programs aim to create systemic change by investing in education, local leadership, and infrastructure that endure beyond our involvement.
